Lecture: Mrs. Fariba Amini is an Iranian American journalist who has written extensively about issues relating to Iran. She has edited a book called "letters from Ahmad Abad" : letters of Dr."Mohammad Mossadegh" to "Nosratollah Amini" former mayor of Tehran and personal attorney to Dr. Mossadegh.
She has contributed articles to the guardian and the "Huffington Post" as well as to journals in Iran. She has been a long time contributor to "Iranian.com"
Her work : "Faces of the most successful Iranian Americans" was published by the US Department of State.
She has translated and illustrated two books by "Samad Behranghi": "The little back fish" and "one peach, a thousand peaches".

Musical Performance by: Chekavak ensemble; Mr. Bahram Sadeghian (vocal) and his wife, Shahla Nikfal
(Quanun/middle eastern harp) Dastgah Nava, the Chakavak Ensemble's debut album presents a new recording of traditional art music from Iran.
Shahla Nikfal is considered the preeminent qanun virtuoso of Persian music. She has developed a unique technique incorporating elements from traditional santur and tar playing and adapted them to the qanun. An esteemed virtuoso and pedagogue, she has performed and taught at the Tehran Conservatory of Music and the Art University Collective.She met Bahram Sadeghian, a vocal student of Ostad Mohammed Reza Shajarian in 1986. Their performances together have won critical acclaim described as "the most authentic, and technically proficient interpreters of Persian art music in decades.
