FATHER'S DAY ONE DAY ONLY: CONCERT AND ART SHOW
The Opera Project will present an art show and concert on Father's Day, June 16, at the Prallsville Mills in Stockton, NJ. The works of three well known local artists, Deborah Maher, Mike Mann, and Scott MacNeill, will be on view. Doors will open at 12 noon for the art show. At 2:30, the public will then be invited to purchase tickets for The Opera Project's Opera in the Afternoon Concert. Tickets are $15 and are available at the door. The concert is from 3 to 5 PM, at which time the gallery will once again be open for view until 7 PM.
The artwork of Deborah Maher has always been warmly received in the Lambertville/New Hope area. Deborah is an opera singer who has sung all over the world, and who, for many years, has been an inspirational teacher of voice at her studio in Titusville, NJ. She is one of the founding members of The Opera Project. Scott MacNeill, whose company MacNeill and MacIntosh is located in Lambertville, has been a professional illustrator for over thirty years. He and his wife Barbara are part of the thriving arts community in Lambertville. His work can be seen at River Queen Artisans at 8 Church Street in Lambertville.Mike Mann is a resident of Stockton. Mr. Mann is a plein aire artist who uses an impressionistic realism style capturing the colors and the beauty of life. Mike enjoys painting the local scenery. Most of his art work is done within a few miles of his home.
The Opera in the Afternoon Concert of Arias and Art songs will feature Don Sheasley, Susan Rheingans, Kaitlyn Tierney, Jennifer Donnell, John Calkins, Behrooz Salimnejad, and Jessica Mary Murphy, along with three singers from the Artist Development Wing: Nina Scorato, Maddy Evarts, and Nabuko Hori. The accompanist will be Lynda Saponara.
