Oxford Kurdish Association invites you to the “Newroz Celebration”, on Sunday 24 March 2019.
With Lord Mayor of Oxford in Attendance, there will be music, Kurdish dance, traditional food and children activities (face painting, balloon twisting and more).
Newroz, the Kurdish New Year, has been celebrated for thousands of years by the Kurds. It marks, the Spring Equinox, 21st of March and is the celebration of life, Spring arrival, victory of light over the darkness and the new beginning.
