One of Iran’s greatest musical legends, Hossein Alizadeh returns to the Freer after a ten-year hiatus to give a rare, intimate solo performance. Alizadeh has been nominated for two Grammy Awards, once for his solo album Endless Vision and again as a member of the Masters of Persian Music ensemble, with which he has toured internationally. A gifted composer, Alizadeh wrote the music for such award-winning Iranian films as Gabbeh, Turtles Can Fly, and A Time for Drunken Horses.
