Storytelling:
Storytelling has long held an important role in history. People have passed down stories from generation to generation. It has served as a way to explain and understand the world. There are many different types of stories, which are told for many different purposes. Stories help explain different phenomena, cultural beliefs, attitudes, traditions, and much more. In this class we will be focusing on folktales and traditional stories.
Students will improve their skills in the areas of:
- Listening comprehension in Farsi
- Focusing on the subject matter
- Understanding & remembering the lessons in the story
- Speaking in Farsi
- Composing short sentences and phrases
- Correct pronunciation of Farsi alphabets, and sounds
- Colors, and common objects
- Visualizing and thinking in Farsi
- Familiarization with Farsi culture
- Respecting other people’s opinions about written, oral and visual texts/pictures
Creative art class:
The art activities will develop children’s abilities and skills. Most importantly, however, children will also develop an appreciation for the art of other people and cultures, and the confidence to express their own thoughts and feelings through art. Far from creating individual prodigies, this integration of making and enjoying art in the early childhood classroom will result in the "all-sided development" of the children participating.
After reading the story, the students will draw and paint their ideas and feeling throw their imagination.
Our Art students will develop and/or improve:
- Creativity & imagination power
- Participation skills
- Effective techniques in expressing their moods, ideas and feelings through art
- And an appreciation for their own artistic values, not fully discovered yet!
