Grand Ayatollah Hussain Ali Montazeri passed away on Saturday December 19, 2009 and left millions of his followers and admirers longing to send their respect to him. He was a great religious scholar, and a pious man who exemplified respect for human dignity, human rights, democracy, and compassion for all oppressed people.
