This special concert unites klezmer virtuosos, dedicated to their own traditions as well as to sharing, teaching, and learning about other cultural landscapes. Amidst the grandeur of Eldridge Street's historic sanctuary, Frank London and Lorin Sklamberg of the Klezmatics will join the Montreal-based ensemble Constantinople, led by Kiya Tabassian. Together these musicians will tell a story, weaving, borrowing from, and building upon their separate traditions of Yiddish and Judeo-Persian music of the 19th and early-20th centuries. It's a match and a marriage like no other.
