Organized by Huntington Arts Council
Strunz & Farah will be giving a free performance at the 44th Annual Huntington Summer Arts Festival 2009
Dynamic guitar duo Jorge Strunz and Ardeshir Farah, from Costa Rica and Iran respectively, fuse Latin American and Middle Eastern music, creating a unique form of "ethnojazz." The exotic style they originated in 1979 is now widely followed, but they remain the undisputed masters of the form they created. They have collaborated with artists like Ruben Blades and L. Subraminiam, and worked with Sting on the album The Living Sea: Soundtrack from the IMAX Film as session musicians.
