Sahba Sizdahkhani is an Iranian musician currently based in California. His love affair with sound began at age 12 upon hearing The John Coltrane Quartet. Drums were his first instrument and led to performances with Peter Brotzmann, Miho Hatori (Cibo Matto), Mary Halvorson, Marc Ribot, and Sophia Knapp. He has recorded with bands on the imprints of Dischord Records, Southern Lord, and Drag City. Sahba’s solo project recently launched, where he primarily plays 104-string custom Persian santour.
