The Institute of International Education (IIE) will celebrate its 90th anniversary with a gala on September 23rd, and as part of the festivities IIE is honored to present the first-ever IIE Women’s Global Leadership Award to Laya Khadjavi, Roya Khadjavi-Heidari and Nazgol Saati for the many ways in which they have helped to involve the Iranian community in the U.S. in improving cultural and educational relations between Iran and the United States.
The Iran Opportunities Fund, established by these three remarkable women alongside IIE Trustee Maryam Panahy Ansary, is a unique public-private partnership dedicated to fostering mutual understanding between
the U.S. and Iran through international exchange.
The Women’s Global Leadership Award recognizes distinguished and enduring lifetime contributions made by women to international cooperation and to the advancement of "Opening Minds to the World" through international educational exchange.
