Reza Afshari, PhD, is professor of history at Pace University. he has taught courses such as History of Human Rights; Modern Middle East; and Palestine/Israel. he has written extensively on human rights issues. His book Human Rights in Iran: the Abuse of Cultural Relativism, was published by University of Pennsylvania Press, in 2001. It was designated by Choice magazine as an outstanding scholarly title. Professor Afshari will speak on human rights in Iran.
