On Thursday, January 16 2020, the Foundation of Iranians of Connecticut will hold a candlelight vigil to honor the 176 lives lost on Ukrainian International Airlines Flight 752 on January 8, 2020.

The Foundation of Iranians of Connecticut (FIOC) is a non-profit, non-partisan organization with a mission to promote a supportive community through the organizing of cultural activities. We are deeply saddened by the loss of 176 civilian lives due to the downing of a passenger plane last week. This tragic incident is a tremendous loss for the world, especially those who lost loved ones in this tragedy. We mourn and stand alongside our brothers and sisters in Connecticut who lost members of their family and friends this past week.
We remain committed to supporting cultural and community building programs for Iranians, Iranian Americans, and all those who wish to be part of our diverse and vibrant community. It is our hope that through our programs, the youth of our community can develop lifelong friendships and maintain an appreciation for the beautiful culture that we hold dear to our hearts.
