MEKIC art gallery has the pleasure to announce the arrival of the works of Ali Golestaneh, the famous Iranian painter in Montreal.
Opening: Friday, May 23, 2008 from 6pm to 10pm
Exhibition will be shown until August 3rd.
With his unique taste in painting, his fine hand and his multicultural background, Ali Golestaneh has long become one of the best known painters of contemporary Iran. Born in 1940, he received his art degree from Tehran University (Fine Arts Faculty). He lived in London from 1968 to 1979 and studied in school of printing, working as a painter, graphic designer and illustrator. Then he moved to Spain and his work was exhibited in may cities such as Madrid, Santa Eulalia and Ibiza. In 1986, he made Tehran his home again. He has been very active and has had many exhibitions in Iran.
