This year marks Encyclopaedia Iranica’s 35th anniversary since its inception. The Encyclopaedia Iranica would not have become what it is without the contributions of the great scholars of Iranian studies, the generous support of our donors and the tireless efforts of our staff.
Following a proposal by some of the Friends of the Encyclopaedia, and to celebrate its success in rendering a distinct scholarly service to its readership, a week in each year, i.e., the first week of May, has been designated as Encyclopaedia Iranica Week. During this week, round tables, panel discussions and brief lectures will be held at gatherings around the world to remind people of the Encyclopaedia Iranica and its latest progress.
This year, such gatherings will take place in a number of cities including Bloomfield (Michigan), Brisbane (Australia), Chicago, Copenhagen, Detroit, Dubai, Geneva, Irvine (California), London, Los Angeles, Midland (Michigan), Montreal, New Jersey, New York, Paris, San Francisco, Sydney, Tucson (Arizona) and Washington DC.
Speakers:
Professor Mohammad Estelami
Dr. Fakhreddin Shadman
