EL GRITO, EL SILENCIO
As intense as a gypsy's cry or the silence of a starry night, this concert will take you on an enchanting trip into the heart of Andalusia and the rich musical traditions that have developed in these sun-drenched Spanish lands. This new production of El grito, El silencio, which premiered in Montreal in May 2008, will feature contemporary interpretations of ancient and traditional flamenco ballads, as well as new compositions bearing the mix of influences that Constantinople is known for. Two remarkable guests from Seville, the young and impassioned singer Rosario La Tremendita, and master guitarist Juan Requena, will join the ensemble in this flamenco adventure.
