The hilarious and successful Iranian-American stand-up comedian, Maz Jobrani returns to Australia this July!
Jobrani’s comedy tackles topics of politics, race, religion and other common issues that exist in our daily lives.
He takes pride in breaking down stereotypes about Iranians and the Middle East in general, and at a time when the Middle East and the West are in deep rooted conflicts Jobrani sets out to help bring the two worlds closer together.
His insightful and hilarious routine has challenged and entertained audiences world-wide including the King of Jordan. Jobrani has performed stand up on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and TheLate Late Show has had numerous roles in film and television.
Most recently, Jobrani starred as the title character in the award-winning indie comedy, Jimmy Vestvood: Amerikan Hero, a film which he co-wrote and produced. Other film work includes Ice Cube’s Friday, After Next, and TV guest appearances include Malcolm in the Middle, Still Standing, The West Wing, NYPD Blue, Without a Trace, ER, Law & Order and Curb Your Enthusiasm and Grey’s Anatomy.
