Last October, the U.S. Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) made sweeping changes to many of the regulations concerning the trade embargo on Iran. The new provisions in the Iranian Transactions and Sanctions Regulations (ITSR) significantly impact Iranian Americans who maintain assets in as well as financial and other ties to Iran.
The objective of the presentation is to educate and update the audience on key elements of the ITSR that affect Iranian Americans, such as investment in Iran, commercial trade with Iran, asset divestment, and funds transfer.
