Jerry Azarkman, 61, is the founder of Curacao, a department store chain that has catered to the Latino consumer since 1976. Curacao has 11 stores in California and Arizona, annual revenue in excess of $350 million and 2,000 employees. Azarkman's success with Curacao earned him an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Greater Los Angeles in 2014. The self-taught Azarkman jokes that "it is the only certificate I have."
