For this third and final event in Dr. Naficy's artist residency at the Beach House, we are pleased to present a debut workshop reading of his verse drama, directed by John Farmanesh-Bocca. Following the romantic travails of the poet Shahram, his lover Shaherezad, and the new man who comes between them, this lyrical drama set in various Santa Monica sites brings Persian and American sensibilities together. Live music by renowned Iranian-American cellist Homayoun Khosravi!
