Saffron is a collaborative of talents from the four corners of the world joined together by the poetry of the great mystic Rumi. Master sitar player Shujaat Husain Khan, saxophonist Tim Ries, pianist Kevin Hayes, and percussionists Satoshi Takeishi and Abhiman Kaushal layer classical Indian music, jazz, and cross-cultural elements over the lyrical recitation of Rumi poems by Persian wordsmith Katayoun Goudarzi.
