Rabbi Tatz was born in South Africa and after graduating from medical school, went on to establish the Jerusalem Medical Ethics Forum, of which he remains the Director, for the purpose of teaching and promoting knowledge of Jewish medical ethics internationally. He is an accomplished author, having written a number of books on the subject of Jewish thought and philosophy.
