In this presentation, Dr. Michael Yapko will identify some of the
interpersonal patterns often seen in modern relationships that lead to depression. He will also provide some practical advice that will help attendees develop skills and insights they need to forge stronger and healthier social connections as well as overcome depression in the process.
Dr. Foojan Zeine (pictured), will explore the role of culture in depression, how depressive social roles and cultural belief systems carries the depression through generations. The latest comparative studies will be discussed. She will provide specific distinctions in identifying these depressive belief systems and practical steps to shift toward healthier belief systems.
