London is home in November to its first Iranian Film Festival, which will create opportunities for emerging and established filmmakers to show their work, and also introduce Iranian cinema to new audiences.
The festival opens at the Apollo Cinema in Piccadilly on the evening of Friday, 19 November. The audience will represent a broad cross-section of the film industry, and they will be treated to traditional Iranian music as well as film screenings. Throughout the festival, activities such as Q&A sessions, seminars and exhibitions will complement the screenings themselves.
