Two years since its implementation, the future of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action is in question. Both American and Iranian officials complain that ‘the spirit of the deal’ has been violated, with Iranian proxies as active as ever in the Middle East and a new set of sanctions imposed on Iran in July.
A panel of academics and experts will discuss the Iran deal’s state and its fate.
Speakers include:
Timothy Stafford, the Henry Jackson Society’s research director and the author of a recent report on the Iran deal’s effectiveness, 'Beyond Compliance: Iran and the JCPOA.'
Aniseh Bassiri Tabrizi, a research fellow at the Royal United Services Institute for Defence and Security Studies in London and an alum of King’s College London’s Department of War Studies.
It will be chaired by Dhia Muhsin, president of KCL MENA Forum.
The event is open to members of the public, has a limited capacity, and will operate on a first come, first serve basis.
