If you are looking for an event which is an amalgamation of music, dance, and celebration then you are at the right place! Don your traditional wears, leave your worries at home and join us to celebrate Nowruz at London's multi-cultural and a dazzling venue - the Brunei Gallery Lecture Theatre , SOAS. The SOAS Silk Road Collective ensemble features musicians from the UK, Iran, Central Asia, India, China, Japan, Turkey and the United States. They perform a wide range of musical pieces from courtly and folk repertoires of Turkish, Iranian, Afghan, Uzbek, Tajik, Uyghur, and Indian musical traditions on a variety of instruments like Tanbur, Rubab, Dotar, Tabla, Daf, and Oud. This event would feature the following artists: Rahima Mahmut (Vocals), Dr Rachel Harris (Dotar), Tara Pandeya and Zulfukar Ablikim (dance), Niknaz Mirghalami (Tanbur and Setar), Mohanish Jaju (Tabla), Iskandar Ding (Rubab) and Shotaro Sasaki (Oud).
