NoName Trio fuses a concoction of jazz, traditional Iranian music and other influences to produce new compositions and fresh takes on classic jazz covers. The Trio was formed in 2009 out of a friendship between Ceri Evans, MOBO Award-winning jazz pianist, Saleh Zaeri, bassist, and Ali Nourbakhsh, on an array of Iranian, Latin American and Africa percussion. The three musicians come from very different musical backgrounds covering everything from acid jazz and funk, to heavy metal, Cuban and traditional Iranian music, and it is the fusion of these sounds that defines NoName’s debut album, Nothingness.
