“Shams & Tanbur” considered as one of the most selective performances ever performed by Roohafza and was first performed on the anniversary ceremony of Rumi in Konya, Turkey. “Shams & Tanbur” encompasses the vocal and instrumental pieces as well as improvised and ancient melodies (Magham) of Tanbur, allowing the audiences to feel the mystical passion and ecstasy of Rumi’s poems in amorous and emotional form. As the oldest mystical instruments, Tanbur, Ney and Daf are played in this programme.
