Mahmoud Kalari is an internationally renowned photographer, film maker, cinematographer and art director. Apart from directing his own films, Kalari has collaborated with cinematic masters such as Abbas Kiarostami and Mohsen Makhmalbaf.
Rahbar started his career as a young photojournalist with IRNA news service and extensively covered the Iran – Iraq War. For his art Rahbar draws from his experience with photojournalism and uses photography as a preferred medium. He has exhibited his works at group shows of Iranian photography at the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art. Rahbar has also produced and curated several shows of Contemporary Iranian Art including an exhibition of Contemporary Iranian Art in 1994 at the Maison de l’Iran in Paris, the first comprehensive group show of its kind in Europe.
