Persian Poetry - from ancient Persia to Contemporary Iran with Professor Tajalli Keshavarz
In an insightful and interactive workshop, lovers of Persian culture will be introduced to the philosophy behind Persian poetry and learn more about the epic, mystic and lyric style. The poetry reviewed in the session will range from ancient to modern texts and will look at the renowned works of poets including Ferdowsi, Omar Khayyam, Rumi, Nezami, Saadi and Hafez to Nima, Shamlou, Farrokhzad and Sepehri.
