Join virtuoso drummer and gifted teacher Hadi Alizadeh in this fun but practical workshop to give you an understanding of basic drumming skills and universal rhythms. You will have the opportunity to explore rhythms on the Daf, the Kurdish-Persian large frame drum with a distinct and enchanting sound, and to play and improvise together as a group. Discover the rhythms of Iran and Kurdistan during this workshop, which captivate the audience with their beauty and awaken a sense of the stories of 1001 nights. No experience required. For all ages, 7-14 year olds to be accompanied by an adult.
About the artist
Hadi Alizadeh is a virtuoso musician on the Persian drums Tonbak and Daf. Growing up in Iran, he received his training with Master Bahman Rajabi in Tehran, before moving to Germany to broaden his musical horizons, playing with musicians from different cultural backgrounds.
