On Saturday 18th May 2019 from 6:00 to 8:30, we celebrate the winning of poetry prizes, in Iran, by Alireza Abiz who won the Shamloo Literary Prize and Reza Mohammadi who won the best Persian poetry, at Fajr Poetry Festival, for the Year 1397 (Iranian Calendar ended in March 2019). Vahid Davar, Poet, and Haroon Yousofi, Poet and Satirist, will introduce the works of the two winners, respectively, and the winners will recite some of their poems followed by a reception. Both winners have been members of the judging panel of Bonyad Jaleh Esfahani’s own poetry prize for young Persian poets for the past few years. The proceedings will be in Farsi.
