Baran Ensemble now with over 8 years of concert performance is a known name to Iranian music audience.
The concert at King College London, “Whispering feathers” Album and the Cadogan Hall concert in 2011 are amongst the most prominent activities of the ensemble.
Collaborating with well-known Iranian and non-Iranian musicians in previous performance are of a high importance. Working with musicians, each with export experience in collaborating with renowned musicians of Iran is good evidence of an upcoming gala event with a high standard of performance.
On the other hand, the effort in finding new ways to create texture, new perspective and relying on salient features of various rhythmic components are of main characteristics of Baran Ensemble and a real focus of the group. Focus on rhythm and melody to make use of various colors and novel instruments while trying to adhere to the principles of Iranian traditional music are amongst other featuring points of Baran Ensemble.
On Monday, 21st October 2013, London Barbican Centre will witness a new performance from Baran ensemble which will feature master vocalist Alireza Ghorbani, one of the most renowned Iranian vocalist with a track record of achievements in Iranian music, thus satisfying the high demands of music loving audience.
Baran Ensemble will be also having a concert in Zurich on October 18th 2013 as well.
