"Passage" is two years long project and Circle band 's Third album. The passage album is base on Sohrab Sepehri , Baba Tahar, Fereydoon Moshirir, and Rumi poetry.All the songs are written and arranged by Shahab Baradaran , with Saman Shahi ( Piano ) Peter Lutek ( Bassoon, Clarinet). In this fusion jazz album we have collaborated with Richard Uglow ( Bass, pads) Pedram Khavarzamini ( Tombak) Bijan Sepanji ( Violin) Darya Zonoozi ( cello )
In the November 12 concert in Kitchener Waterloo at Registry theatre Circle band features : Shahab Baradaran ( Lead Vocal , guitars ) Saman Shahi ( Piano ) Reza Moghaddas (Bass, ) Peter Lutek ( Bassoon, Clarinet) Steve Farrugia ( Drums ) Maryam Nosrati ( back vocal)
The Circle is a Toronto-based, Persian music band founded in 2011 with a unique style of music as fusion of jazz and psychedelic rock with elements of traditional Eastern music. The Circle focuses on classical and contemporary Persian poetry and released its first album, “Beyond the Seas”, based on Sohrab Sepehri’s poetry in 2012.
