An Iranian in Heaven (or yek Irani Dar Behesht in Persian) is a socio-political stage comedy about Iranians in Diaspora and their self-inflicted problems. The play explores the very essence of an imaginary scenario.It is produced by Workshop '79, the Los Angeles-based Drama production company, founded by Houshang Touzie, Iranian Actor and playwright, and his actress wife Shohreh Aghdashloo (Emmy Awards 2009), in memory of the Theatrical and Acting Workshop in Tehran which was shut down after the 1979 Iranian Revolution.
