Voting is always important, but it’s especially important this year. There are several important races in Orange County that could be decided by less than a thousand votes. So, now more than ever, every vote matters.
Voting should be fun, but California ballots, sometimes, can be a little overwhelming. We want to fix that. Let’s make it fun. Let’s vote together!
Bring your ballot. If you don’t have it, bring your sample ballot. Go to https://PersianVote.org to get registered or request a mail-in ballot.
We will share information, research, and ideas. We'll have informed volunteers helping with California props (we get it; some of them are really confusing). We'll have neighbors helping neighbors with down ballot city and local races. We may even get a chance to talk to a candidate or two.
Bring your family, bring your friends, bring food. It’s a picnic!
Everyone at the event will receive a cool, Persian "I voted" sticker. There's also going to be a drawing for some witty t-shirts. But more importantly, we'll all make a lasting difference.
**We'll meet at Picnic Shelter #4 at the Mason Park.**
(This event is organized by volunteers from the Persian Vote Project, a nonpartisan, nonprofit initiative to encourage more Iranian-Americans to vote. Everybody is welcome to join and bring guests.)
