The Universal Rhythm of Persian Music
It is more thann 35 years ago that Djamchid Chemirani (° Teheran 1942) made his first solo-recordings for the renowned record label Harmonia Mundi. Since then, he continued his musical journey, with now and then his two sons Kejvan and Bijan at his side. During their last encounter they found the time to work on their new album ‘Dawar’. The album can be regarded as the (provisional) end to a beautiful musical journey. Never before the Chemirani have reached such musical clarity. The album is also the ultimate musical tribute of two sons to (the musical career of) their father.
