An iconic face of Iranian cinema, Fatemeh Motamed Arya is a multi-award winning actress. After graduating with a degree in theatre from the University of Tehran, she began her career in the 1980s. An exceedingly versatile actress who has resisted being typecast, Motamed Arya is adored by Iranian audiences. She has been nominated nine times for the Fajr International Festival, won the Best Actress Award at the Montreal Film Festival in 2011, and the Prix Henri-Langlois for Actress and Cinema of the World in 2012. Motamed Arya remains a tour de force in Iranian cinema.
