HamisheNou translates as always new. The band is a trio of unique talents, led by mezzo-soprano Sara Amini. HamisheNou enjoy reinventing timeless Iranian songs from the likes of Vigen and Marzieh, and, in doing so, hope to link older and newer generations by invoking memories and nostalgia. At our Opening Ceremony, HamisheNou they will perform a blend of Opera and old Iranian folk songs.
Vocal: Sara Amini. Sara comes from a theatrical background and began her musical education by playing violin and operatic singing.
Piano: Parisa Zomorodnia. Parisa has played classical piano for many years and enjoys playing different styles.
Flute: Golazin Ardestani. Music-graduate Golazin also plays the dulcimer and the damam.
