Scottish Edinburgh's International Film Festival is to screen 13 Iranian films in the Middle Eastern Film Festival and during the Edinburgh Iranian Festival. The event to be run from January 30th to February 8th in the Scottish capital of Edinburgh is sponsored by Iranian communities of Edinburgh University.
"So Simple" by Reza Mir Karimi, "Bashu, the Little Stranger", by Bahram Beizaei, "Narges" by Rakhshan Bani Etemad, "The Scent of Joseph's Shirt" by Ebrahim Hatamikia, "Two Women" by Tahmineh Milani, "Tehran has no more pomegranate" by Masoud Bakhshi, "Three Women" by Manijeh Hekmat, "Fireworks Wednesday" by Asghar Farhadi, "Lonely Tune of Tehran" by Saman Salur, "It's Winter" by Rafi Pitts and "The Runner" by Amir Naderi are the 13 Iranian films to be shown in the event.
The Middle Eastern section also involves films from Scotland, France, Lebanon and Turkey.
The Edinburgh Festival is deemed to be the world's largest arts festival and has been held since 1947.
