What is Nowruz (نوروز)? This particular day is a beginning of the year in Persian Calendar. Also, it is a welcoming of spring celebration.
The celebration of this event has its roots in ancient Iran, but nowadays it is also celebrated in more countries, like Iraq, Georgia, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan and India.
ISOW organizes a big cultural event for this case - you will have opportunity to learn more about Nowruz celebration in different countries, to taste traditional food and to see special performances.
