Pejman Akbarzadeh's recital at Cologne University includes his arrangements from the works of 20th century Persian (Iranian) composers: Mostafa Kasravi, Javad Badizadeh, Anoushiravan Rohani, Parviz Yahaghi, Homayoun Khorram, Javad Maroufi, Shahrdad Rohani and Rouhollah Khaleghi.
He has dedicated his performance to Ahmad Batebi, the symbol of pro-democracy movement of Tehran University students, who recently fled to the United States after nine years of imprisonment.
