Please join us for our bi-weekly Persian movie screenings, starting Wednesday, Oct. 11th at the University of Chicago's Stuart Hall, room 105. As our official commencement of Persian Movie Nights, we will be screening Abbas Kiarostami’s Close-Up ( نمای نزدیک ).
Close-up has been called “Masterpiece” by the Chicago Reader and “Brilliant” by the New York Times; it was also voted by critics onto the list of “The Top 50 Greatest Films of All Time”.
Pizza and soda will be served. Depending on the duration of the given film, an open discussion can be followed.
