Persian Roots of Middle Eastern Music and Their Influence on European Music
Conversation and Performance by Azadi Ensemble
In this event, two invited Iranian Musicians will briefly speak about the Persian music modal system, the types of music in Iran and how they have been exported to other middle eastern areas. in a part of their speech, they will also discuss the Persian origins on some European instruments. Then there will be a music performance by their band and the last part of the program is Q&A.
