The Persian Student Organization (PSO) is pleased to inform you that the Mehregan event is going to take place on October 11th , 2014. To celebrate Mehregan, PSO has booked a venue at the Iowa Memorial Union (IMU), Lucas Dodge room #256, and arranged Iranian music and other entertainments. Also, snacks and soft drinks will be served at the event.
A short description about Mehregan is the celebration of “Mehr Va Doosti” (“love and friendship”). It is also widely referred to as Persian Festival of Autumn [Ref: Wikipedia]. But, all these things are excellent reasons for getting together and having fun.
As usual, this event is a public one. So, feel free to invite your other Iranian/ non-Iranian/student/non-student friends to this event. We welcome any assistance by way of participation to play a musical instrument, singing the Persian songs, telling the event to your other friends who are not on the invitation list or any other activity that adds to the quality of our celebration. Please send us your ideas or offers of active participation.
