Khalil Sharifzadeh, DVM, MPH
“Emerging Food Borne Pathogens: Is There a Cause for Concern?”
Dr. Khalil Sharifzadeh is the President and CEO of Lapuck Laboratories and Food and Environmental Safety of America. He has extensive experience and knowledge in the areas of Infectious Disease Consulting, Epidemiology of Foodborne Illnesses, Regulatory Compliance for Medical Device & Pharmaceutical products, and Forensic DNA Technology. Dr. Sharifzadeh has served as an Epidemiologist for the Massachussetts Department of Public Health and has directed training programs for local health officials in food safety and foodborne illness. He has given lectures on the above topics both at the national and international levels. Dr. Sharifzadeh also provides forensic DNA consulting to the legal communities and has frequently participated as an expert witness in exhaustive DNA testing at the Massachusetts State Police Crime Laboratory on behalf of defense attorneys.
