Hi book is translated to 11 languages and named as the top Debut Fiction of 2009 critics such as NPR, New Yorker, Cornell Sun, ... James Wood (New Yorker critic) wrote that “Mandanipour’s writing is exuberant, bonhomous, clever, profuse with puns and literary-political references."
