Persian Cultural Evening on International Avenue
Arts & Culture, City of Calgary is pleased to introduce you to the new initiative called “Movie on the Ave”. In collaboration with the International Avenue BRZ, Calgary Learning Village Collaborative, Boys and Girls Club of Calgary, and several other community partners, Arts & Culture is proud to present this first-time outdoor cinema event which will celebrate Calgary’s culturally rich population, as well as, provide a free, fun family activity on each Thursday evening in the month of July. The movies will begin at sunset each Thursday evening in July, with family programming beginning at 8PM - 9:30PM (just before the start of the movie).
Arts & Culture, City of Calgary has had the pleasure of screening the Persian film, "The Wind Carpet" and couldn’t be more delighted with our selection of the feature presentation for July 24th. It is a lovely story of universal friendship, teamwork, and celebration – a perfect fit with our goal of strengthening community and nurturing mutual respect across our diverse populations in Calgary.
