"Browntown" features Middle Eastern comedians.
Comedian Mike Batayeh, a long-time star of the Sultans of Satire, hosts and performs in Browntown, at the Flappers Comedy Club in Burbank. Along with this very funny Jordanian American comic are some of our Middle Eastern faves—Max Amini ("Mind of Mencia"), Maria Shehata (winner of OC Funniest Comic), Amir K, Joe Berry, Omid Singh et al.
Max Amini graduated from UCLA Film and Television and is actor with numerous film and TV credits, including "Heroes" and "The Carlos Mencia Show." A native of Iran, he is a stand-up comedian who regularly performs at the Laugh Factory, the Improv and every Friday night at the Hollywood Comedy Store. His humor and stories capture what it's like to be an Iranian in America these days. He performs regularly in the Sultans of Satire.
