ASA works specifically on Alternative Rock-Iranian music. In other words, the eastern modes inspired by Rock motifs based on the current emotions are composed. There is a framework for each song, but the melodies and tunes could be different each time the song is playing. If you are interested in eastern and/or Rock music, don’t hesitate to attend the concert, we make sure there is something for you.

Ehsan Yadollahii is a Tar and Setar (Iranian musical instruments) player. Since 2006 in Iran, Malaysia and now in Belgium, he had so many performances with different bands. Working on fusion and alternative music brought him last year with Iranian-Turkish music (SAZ ensemble) and this year with Iranian-Rock music (ASA ensemble) to de Centrale (Gent). He also have performed several times at music festivals and cultural events. The concept of improvisation is the most important factor in his compositions.
Keivan Vala started his music career back in his home country about 6 years ago, by playing in local rock and Metal in local bands in Tehran as experimental projects.In year 2011 had his first professional performance as guitar player in a Pink Floyd Tribute band called Zang in Tehran Music Conservatorium and soon after that in 2012 before leaving Iran to Belgium he gave another concert with his Alternative Rock band Plankton.
At the moment he plays in two other different music projects in gent in addition to ASA which was far beyond different than what he’s been doing so far.
Sepehr Niko plays percussion (Tonbak/Daf/Cajon). He started learning Iranian music from 10 years ago with Tanbor (Iranian musical instrument). He already had some performances with other musicians. Last year together with Saz ensemble they played at some cafes and also he had two concerts at de centrale.
