Celebrate and be inspired by the best of classic and current Iranian cinema.
From the festival that brought you A Separation and audience award winner Facing Mirrors, this year’s Iranian Film Festival promises to deliver exciting work from new independent Iranian directors including Peyman Moadi and Majid Barzegar, along with the latest films from Jafar Panahi, Mohsen Makhmalbaf and Bahman Ghobadi.
The programme will keep you on the edge of your seat with the important pre-revolutionary Downpour (Bahram Beyzza’i, 1972), plus intriguing documentaries and poignant shorts.
In addition to the films, the highly anticipated opening night gala and musical performances throughout the festival will bring a little piece of Iran to Brisbane.
